The Calicut-Wayanad drive climbs 770m through 9 hairpin bends before the ghat delivers you to the Pookode Lake plateau and your hillside resort.
Ancient Rock Art and the Great Earth Dam - Edakkal Caves and Banasura Sagar
Day 2 covers Wayanad's most distinctive attractions in geographic sequence - the Edakkal Caves rock art on Ambukuthi Mala at 1,200m, then India's largest earth dam at Banasura Sagar.
The Sentinel Rock Cascade and the Spice Road - Soochipara Falls and Calicut Descent
Day 3 begins with the Soochipara Waterfalls trek and swim before a spice market stop on NH212 and the Thamarassery ghat descent to Kozhikode.

- Closed-toe shoes for Edakkal Caves rocky trail and Soochipara Falls forest trail
- Warm layer for evenings - Wayanad at 700–900m drops to 16–19°C from October to February
- Motion sickness medication recommended - Wayanad ghats have sharp bends on ascent and descent
- Binoculars for birdwatching along Kalpetta–Mananthavady estate roads - hornbills and flycatchers
- Rain jacket if visiting October–November - post-monsoon afternoon showers are occasional
- Edakkal Caves (ASI): no flash on rock engravings - daily cap 500, arrive base by 8:30 AM
- Soochipara Falls: no glass or non-biodegradable items on trail - non-swimmers stay on rock platforms
- Pookode Lake: rowboats only, lifejackets provided - no food, drinks, or plastic on the boats

Cancellation & Refunds Policy

This policy applies to all Tours booked on Evynx, unless a specific tour page clearly states a different policy ("Special Policy"). By booking a Tour, you agree to the terms below.

- The time your payment is successfully completed on Evynx.
- Start Time / Departure
- The departure time/date shown on the Tour detail page and confirmation.
- Refund Method
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method unless you choose Evynx Travel Credit (when offered).
Risk-Free 24-Hour Cancellation (Evynx Promise)
For all the Tours, you may cancel free of charge within 24 hours of Booking Time, provided the Tour departure is at least 7 days away.
Standard Cancellation Refunds (Tours)
Evynx Tours are listed as either Group Tour (fixed departure) or Private Tour (custom/private arrangement). Refund tiers depend on the tour type:
Group Tours (Fixed-Departure)
- More than 21 days before departure: 90% refund
- 14–21 days before departure: 75% refund
- 7–14 days before departure: 50% refund
- 3–7 days before departure: 25% refund
- Less than 72 hours / No-show: No refund
Private Tours
- More than 30 days before departure: 90% refund
- 21–30 days before departure: 75% refund
- 14–21 days before departure: 50% refund
- 7–14 days before departure: 25% refund
- Less than 7 days / No-show: No refund
Note: "No-show" includes failure to report at the designated meeting/boarding time.
Rescheduling & Name Change
- Rescheduling eligibility: If rescheduling is offered for your Tour, it will be shown at checkout or in your booking confirmation.
- Reschedule policy: Reschedule requests are subject to availability on the requested date. Differential price will be charged extra.
- Name change (Group Tours): Name changes may be allowed up to 48 hours before departure, subject to operator ID/permit rules.
Operator / Evynx-Initiated Cancellation
If a Tour is cancelled by the operator or Evynx:
- You will receive a 100% refund, or
- You may choose a free reschedule (if available).
Your choice will be provided in the booking support flow.
Weather, Safety, and Force Majeure
If a Tour is disrupted due to weather, road closures, government restrictions, safety advisories, natural events, or similar circumstances:
- First preference is rescheduling (no extra charge where possible).
- If rescheduling is not possible, we will refund depending on:
- If the Tour has not started: 100% refund
- If the Tour has already started: Pro-rata refund (unused days/activities) minus any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred.
Non-Refundable Components
Permits, entry tickets, special passes, or third-party reservations made in the traveler's name may be non-refundable once issued or booked.
Refund Timelines
- Evynx processes eligible refunds within 24–48 hours of approval.
- Banks/UPI may take 3–10 business days to reflect the amount.
