Ladakh Convoy Expedition: Khardung La, Nubra & Pangong

TOUR RATING
New on Evynx

A fixed-departure Ladakh SUV convoy - three defining landscapes in six days.

About this tour

The three landscapes that define Ladakh in six days, run as a fixed-departure SUV convoy - vehicles moving together on set dates, with the acclimatisation, permits, and logistics all handled. It crosses Khardung La at 17,582 feet, one of the world's highest motorable roads, into the Nubra Valley for a Bactrian camel ride across the Hundar dunes, then follows the rugged Shyok river bypass along the Karakoram border to Pangong Tso at 13,943 feet, whose deep blue water reaches sixty kilometres into Tibet. The cliff-set Thiksey monastery, modelled on Lhasa's Potala, anchors the Indus valley return. A fixed-date group departure for travellers who want the classic Ladakh circuit without arranging a thing.

Highlights

  • SUV convoy over Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft) - one of the world's highest motorable roads
  • Hundar Sand Dunes - cold-desert camel safari on double-humped Bactrian camels in the Nubra Valley
  • Pangong Tso at 13,943 ft - a 134 km landlocked lake whose deep blue water extends 60 km into Tibet
  • Shyok River bypass route - a rugged off-road highway tracing the Karakoram border from Nubra to Pangong
  • Thiksey Monastery - a 12-story cliff-edge complex above the Indus Valley modeled on Lhasa's Potala Palace
