TOUR RATING
New on Evynx

A fixed-departure Delhi loop pairing Kurukshetra's epic sites with Patiala's royal fort.

About this tour

A three-day fixed-departure loop from Delhi across two chapters of North Indian history along the Grand Trunk Road - the mythological heartland of Kurukshetra and the princely Sikh city of Patiala. Set dates, a shared coach, and every transfer handled. Kurukshetra brings the sacred banyan at Jyotisar, where Krishna is said to have spoken the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna, and the vast tank of Brahma Sarovar with its island shrine. Patiala follows with the ten-acre Qila Mubarak and its Late-Mughal painted chambers, and the lakeside Sheesh Mahal of mirrors and European glasswork, before the Moorish Mosque at Kapurthala, modelled on the Grand Mosque of Marrakesh. A group departure on published dates, for travellers who want the epic and the royal side of Punjab and Haryana without planning the route.

Highlights

  • Jyotisar, Kurukshetra - the sacred banyan where Krishna recited the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna
  • Brahma Sarovar, Kurukshetra - one of India's largest sacred tanks, with a central island shrine
  • Qila Mubarak, Patiala - a 10-acre fort with Late-Mughal painted royal chambers
