Jaisalmer·
TOUR RATING
New on Evynx

A quick, fixed-departure fort-to-dunes group escape - maximum desert, minimum time.

About this tour

A fast fort-to-dunes escape on set dates - a shared coach and a fixed departure, with nothing to arrange but the bag. Maximum desert in minimum time. One night sits inside the living Jaisalmer Fort, the Bhati stronghold raised in 1156 and still full of resident families, among the carved havelis of Patwon Ki and Nathmal Ki in the old merchant quarter. The second goes deep into the Sam dunes, thirty to sixty metres high on the edge of the Desert National Park, with the royal cenotaph garden of Bada Bagh along the way. A fixed-date group departure for travellers who want the golden city and the open sand in one quick weekend.

Highlights

  • Jaisalmer Fort - Bhati stronghold raised in 1156, still home to resident Brahmin and Rajput families
  • Patwon Ki Haveli - five interlinked 1805 mansions merchant Guman Chand Patwa built for his sons
  • Nathmal Ki Haveli - 1885 facade carved in two asymmetric halves by brothers Hathi and Lallu
