Govindghat to Ghangaria - The Guided Trek-In
The Govindghat pickup and short transfer to Pulna trailhead, then a 10 km guided ascent along the Laxman Ganga gorge to the Ghangaria forest base at 3,048 m.
Valley of Flowers - 500 Wildflowers on the UNESCO Meadow
A guided day-hike from Ghangaria into the Valley of Flowers - a 10 km UNESCO alpine meadow at 3,658 m with over 500 wildflower species, returning to Ghangaria by evening.
Hemkund Sahib - Stone Stairs to the Glacial Lake at 4,329 m
The steepest day of the circuit - a 6 km stone-stair climb from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib, a glacial lake Gurudwara at 4,329 m ringed by seven snow peaks, with a return to Ghangaria by evening.
Ghangaria to Govindghat - The Guided Descent
The 10 km guided descent from Ghangaria back to Pulna and Govindghat, reversing the Day 1 trek-in along the Laxman Ganga gorge, closing the four-day circuit by early afternoon.
Requirements
What you’ll need and key rules before you go.
- Fitness to walk 10 km uphill with 1,350 m altitude gain on the trek-in day
- Trek-rated waterproof shoes - the valley floor is wet even outside monsoon
- Ability to climb 6 km of steep stone stairs to Hemkund Sahib at 4,329 m
- Full waterproof jacket and pants - July-August is peak bloom and peak rain
- Trekking poles - most useful on the Hemkund stone-stair descent
- Binoculars for the seven Hemkund peak identification from the lake shore
- Porter or mule hire at Govindghat for extra luggage - arranged locally
- Valley of Flowers open June 1 - October 31 only; no camping inside the core zone
- Certified guide is mandatory throughout - solo trekking is not permitted
- Exit the Valley of Flowers park gate before 4:30 PM each day

Standard Cancellation Refunds
- More than 7 days before start: 90% refund
- 3–7 days before start: 50% refund
- Less than 72 hours / No-show: No refund
