About this experience
Two guided days across Srisailam's dam, ropeway and river country, for travellers already based in the temple town. The first guided day covers the Srisailam Dam, a hydroelectric gravity dam across the Krishna river gorge, the cliffside Srisailam Ropeway descent to Patala Ganga on the riverbank, and a viewpoint at Sikharam ridge above the temple hills. The second turns into genuine wilderness - a boat journey through the Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve, India's largest tiger reserve by area, to the limestone Akkamahadevi Caves, named for the 12th-century saint-poet believed to have meditated there. A private guide and vehicle cover both days; accommodation between them is arranged independently.

Rules & entry
- Akkamahadevi Caves access requires a forest department permit, arranged in advance
- Boat rides into the tiger reserve are suspended in high water flow or poor weather
- Srisailam Dam viewpoint access may be restricted during high-security periods
