Periyar Dawn Boat Safari & Core-Zone Bamboo Rafting
The core wildlife day - a 6 AM Periyar Lake boat cruise for elephant and Gaur sightings, followed by a Forest Department bamboo raft into the reserve's restricted core zone.
Border Hiking Trail - Kerala-Tamil Nadu Ridge Trek
A full day on the Border Hiking Trail, a Forest Department eco-tourism trek along the ridge separating Kerala and Tamil Nadu, with views opening into the plains below.
Elephant Junction Morning & Forest-Edge Dusk Walk
The final day - a hands-on morning at Elephant Junction's working timber elephant camp, then a dusk walk along the forest edge for macaques and roosting hornbills.

What you’ll need and key rules before you go.
- Valid government photo ID for Forest Department permits at every activity
- Earth-tone or muted clothing for the boat cruise and bamboo rafting
- Trekking shoes with grip for the Border Hiking Trail and rafting forest trek
- Thekkady accommodation for both nights arranged independently before booking
- Binoculars for the dawn boat cruise and Border Hiking Trail
- Camera with a zoom lens for elephant and bird sightings
- Insect repellent for the bamboo rafting trek and ridge hike
- Periyar core zone: no flash, no loud noise, stay within trail or raft boundaries
- Bamboo Rafting minimum age is 8 years - ranger instructions are mandatory
- Border Hiking Trail requires a Forest Department eco-tourism wing guide at all times
- Elephant Junction: no sudden movements near the elephants, follow mahout direction

- Refunds are returned to the original payment method unless you choose Evynx Travel Credit (when offered).
Risk-Free 24-Hour Cancellation
You may cancel free of charge within 24 hours of Booking Time, provided the experience start time is at least 48 hours away.
Standard Cancellation Refunds
- More than 7 days before start: 90% refund
- 3–7 days before start: 50% refund
- Less than 72 hours / No-show: No refund
Refund Timelines
- Evynx processes eligible refunds within 24–48 hours of approval.
- Banks/UPI may take 3–10 business days to reflect the amount.
