A guided day along Mandvi's Kutch coast, pairing the pink sandstone Vijay Vilas Palace that Maharao Khengarji III built in 1929 as a summer retreat for his son Yuvraj Vijayrajji with the Rukmavati River's shipbuilding yards, where Kharwa craftsmen still hand-build ocean-going wooden dhows without power tools or blueprints. The day closes along the windmill-lined coastal road at Mandvi Beach, a clean, low-key stretch of the Arabian Sea with free time for a swim, a camel ride or a sunset walk. - Shoes come off at the door inside Vijay Vilas Palace's original rooms
- Swimwear and a change of clothes if joining the beach in the afternoon

Rules & entry
- Vijay Vilas Palace charges separate tickets for the palace and its adjoining beach
- Shipyard is a working site - stay clear of active work areas, ask before photographing workers
- Swimming beyond the designated beach zone is not recommended
