A same-day shared-seat run to the Sam Sand Dunes for travellers who want the iconic dune sunset without booking an overnight desert camp - your seat is pooled with other separately-booked travellers, splitting the vehicle cost, the same way Sam's jeep and camel safaris are commonly sold. An open 4x4 run along the dune edge is followed by a camel ride onto the sand for the final climb to the ridge crest, timed for sunset over dunes that rise 30 to 60 metres near the Desert National Park. There is no tent stay or camp dinner built in - you're back at your own Jaisalmer accommodation the same evening.
